Travel Prize

01. Promoter

This promotional competition is organised and conducted by JD Travels CC (“Promoter”), registration number ____________________, with its principal place of business at 159 Belgravia Road, Lochiel, Athlone, Cape Town, 7764, in conjunction with the PMA Social Outreach NPC (Registration Number 2021/994072/08).

02. Competition Period

The competition opens on 4 August 2026 and closes after the lucky draw to take place at 14h00 on 4 October 2026 (“Competition Period”) at the Pinelands Muslim Association Annual 2026 Market.

03. Eligibility

Entry is open to all natural persons who:

• Are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older at the date of entry;
• Are lawfully resident in South Africa; and
• Comply with these Competition Rules.

Persons who may not participate

• Any member, partner, director, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter;
• Any immediate family member, being a spouse, life partner, parent, child, sibling or household member, of any person referred to above; and
• Any office bearers or directors of the PMA Social Outreach, but will not exclude any immediate family or spouses.

04. How to Enter

To enter the competition, participants must:

1. Purchase a PMA food voucher booklet for R2,000, which is valid for redemption at PMA designated stalls on PMA Market Day on 4 October 2026;
2. Complete the competition entry form contained on the cover page of the voucher booklet; and
3. Deposit the completed entry form into the designated competition entry bin at the PMA Market Day prior to the closing time at 13h59.

The Promoter reserves the right to timeously re-schedule the trip, should it be necessary, and advise the winner accordingly.

The itinerary for the Prize (“Itinerary”) will be published by the Promoter before the travel date.

The Prize Includes

• Return flights;
• Accommodation;
• Meals specified in the Itinerary;
• Transfers and transport; and
• Tours and activities expressly included in the Itinerary.

The Prize Excludes

• Visa application fees;
• Passport application or renewal costs;
• Travel insurance;
• Tips and porterage;
• Gratuities;
• Optional excursions;
• Personal expenses;
• Meals not specified in the Itinerary; and
• Any costs not expressly included in the Itinerary.

Accommodation will be provided on a per-person sharing basis, unless otherwise specified by the Promoter.

06. Prize Restrictions

The Prize:

• Is not transferable to any other person;
• May not be exchanged for cash;
• May not be resold; and
• Must be accepted as awarded.

The winner must travel on the dates specified in the Itinerary, alternatively on the date as so revised by the Promoter.

07. Travel Requirements

The winner must:

• Hold a valid passport;
• Meet all visa, immigration and health requirements applicable to Zanzibar and any transit destination;
• Be legally entitled to travel internationally; and
• Comply with all requirements imposed by airlines, hotels, tour operators and applicable authorities.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the winner shall be responsible for obtaining and paying for all travel documentation, visas and related expenses.

08. Winner Selection

A random draw will be conducted from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period.

The draw will take place at the PMA Market Day on 4 October 2026 at 14h00, or an alternative time so designated.

The draw will be supervised by an independent person or suitably qualified representative appointed by the PMA Social Outreach representative.

The first valid entry drawn will be declared the winner, subject to verification of eligibility.

09. Winner Notification

The winner must be present to be eligible to win the Prize.

The PMA Social Outreach representative present will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner, including waiting 10 minutes for the winner to claim the Prize, failing which a further draw will occur and a new winner will be selected.

The process will continue until a winner is selected.

If:

• the winner declines the Prize;
• the winner is found to be ineligible; or
• the winner fails to comply with these Competition Rules;

the PMA Social Outreach may disqualify that winner and select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries, should the winner not be present and the requisite time period has expired.

10. Publicity

By accepting the Prize, the winner agrees that the Promoter and PMA Social Outreach may publish the winner’s name, image and/or photograph for promotional purposes related to the competition.

By entering the competition, participants acknowledge that they have been given adequate notice of these provisions.

11. Limitation of Liability

Subject to applicable law, neither the Promoter, PMA, PMA Social Outreach nor their respective employees, representatives, agents or contractors shall be liable for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from:

• Participation in the competition;
• Acceptance or use of the Prize;
• Any delay, cancellation or disruption of travel arrangements; or
• Circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable law.

12. Personal Information

Personal information collected from participants will be processed solely for the purposes of:

• Administering the competition;
• Contacting the winner;
• Awarding the Prize; and
• Complying with legal and regulatory obligations.

Personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

Participants consent to the processing of their personal information for these purposes by entering the competition.

13. Cancellation or Amendment

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the competition where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make such action necessary.

Any amendment, suspension or termination will be communicated to participants in a reasonable manner and implemented in accordance with applicable law.

No indemnity will lie with the PMA and PMA Social Outreach in such event.

14. Fraud & Disqualification

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

• Breaches these Competition Rules;
• Acts fraudulently or unlawfully;
• Tampers with the administration of the competition; or
• Unfairly manipulates the outcome of the competition.

15. Governing Law

This competition shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute arising from the competition shall be subject to the rights and remedies available under applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

16. Consumer Protection Act

This competition is conducted as a promotional competition contemplated in section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and will be administered in accordance with the provisions of the Act and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
